About me

I was born profoundly deaf, raised in Dharamsala, India, and immigrated to the USA at the age of 14. I began drawing at the age of 11 in primary school and continued attending art classes until my graduation from high school. Since then, my skills in drawing, painting, digital photo manipulation art, and photography have been self-taught. My artistic methods began to evolve and more of my passion was being applied to digital arts. In 2008, I traveled in India and the art there influenced my artistic style. For example, my approach before were surrealistic and had science fiction elements incorporated; it was abstract but also mechanistic. Afterwards, it changed to be more humanistic and realistic. In addition, my interest shifted to cultural traditions, traditional clothing styles, and portraits. In early 2011, I began experimenting with acrylic painting and learned various acrylic painting techniques, including painting in many layers to get the desired effect. Digital painting is currently being added to my repertoire of skills. My hope is to travel to more countries and analyze the art showcased there. Adding a modernistic style to my artwork is one of my goals. My ambition is to create all stylistic forms of art. Visual arts enhance my life and provide me with energy and motivation.
